LinkStart Plus is a performance add-on to the ClickView software, bringing LinkStart inside your school network for lightning-fast access to videos via URL.

Unlike the standard version this means you can view any video from your ClickView Library Server via URL without connecting to the internet or installing the ClickView Player software.

The default version of LinkStart is dependant on an active connection to the internet.

When you click on the URL link www.clickview.com.au/linkstart/?videoid=1 to download a video, the request is sent out to the ClickView internet server which returns a Java applet to start the ClickView Player and download the video.

LinkStart Plus, on the other hand, operates from inside your school network, which means when you click on the URL link www.clickview.yourschool.edu.au/?videoid=1 the request is sent directly to your ClickView Library Server and the video is downloaded. This takes only milliseconds as opposed to seconds with the default version of LinkStart.

During the download process the ClickView Library Server also sends a small version of the ClickView Player. This means you can access any video from your ClickView Library Server from a Windows PC which does not have the ClickView Player installed.
