ClickView 24-7 Manager Connection Utility

With the release of ClickView Library 1.7.2 we have now included a connection utility that allows users to specify & store ClickView 24-7.

Connection details including User Credentials for accessing the ClickView 24-7.
This article aims to covers the ClickView 24-7 Manager connection utility, Using the utility & also enabling the utility to store Multiple ClickView 24-7's connection details if required.

Prerequisite Software


ClickView Library Manager 1.7.2 or above

Elecard MPEG2 Decoder

DivX 6.1

ClickView 24-7 Manager Connection utility


When opening the ClickView 24-7 Manager for the first time in ClickView Library 1.7.2 a new Dialogue box will open. This is the ClickView 24-7 Manager Connection utility




  1. Under 'Server Name' you can specify your ClickView 24-7's computer name or IP address.



  2. On the bottom left you will see an empty Tick box titled ' ClickView 24-7 requires authentication '



  3. tick this box to specify User Credentials to access the ClickView 24-7 recordings.

    Note: If your existing User already has access to the 7 Network shares located on the ClickView 24-7 you do not need to enter any additional Authentication details.



  4. You will See an Area to enter a 'Network User Name' and another area below to enter the 'Network Password' for this user .

    Note: 'Network User Name' & ' Network Password ' refer to a valid Username and password for accessing the 7 Network shares located on the ClickView 24-7



  5. After entering a Valid ' Network User Name ' & ' Network Password ' you can then save these credentials for next time opening the ClickView 24-7 Manager.



Click 'OK' to complete the process and open the ClickView 24-7 Manager

Note: If you entered a Valid 'Network User Name' & 'Network Password' and select to save the credentials you will not be prompted for this information again. If you need to access the Connection Utility again simply hold down the 'Ctrl' key when opening the ClickView 24-7 Manager to access it.

Multiple ClickView 24-7 devices and ClickView 24-7 Manager Connection utility


The ClickView 24-7 Manager Connection utility will allow you to store the Connection details for Multiple ClickView 24-7 Recording Devices

Please follow the steps below to activate this feature


  • Open the registry editor by going to ' Start > Run ' , type in ' regedit ' and select 'OK' (alternatively press the 'Windows Key' + 'r' to open run)



  • Browse to location ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ClickView > ClickView 24-7 ' or ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > ClickView > ClickView 24-7 ' on a 64bit O/S



  • Under the ' ClickView 24-7 ' key we will need to enter a new String value. ' Right ' Click on the right hand panel and select ' New > Sting Value '



  • Set the new 'String Value’ name to ' MultipleServers ' and then set the 'Data Value ' for this string to '1'





  • Close the registry Editor and now open the ClickView 24-7 Manager again. (If the Connection Utility does not appear again simply hold down the ' Ctrl ' key when opening the ClickView 24-7 Manager to access it again).

  • When you open the ClickView 24-7 Manager again you will now see a 'dropdown' menu that will allow you to scroll between different ClickView 24-7 Devices & their correct Network User credentials.
